In the heart of the Middle-Moselle, right between the the old roman city of Trier and the picturesque town of Bernkastell-Kues, lies Leiwen, one of the largest and well-known wine-growing communities in the area.
Our wine-growing estate is located right at the start of the village, in the immediate vicinity of the bikeway.
Just like with many other companies in this region, many families have made their living with wine-growing for generations.
During the production of our grapes we attach great value to the close-to-nature cultivation and demand only the best of our grapevines.
For us, the selective harvest of our grapes is the basis of a superior wine. The strong pre-clarification of the must (cloudy wine juice) with a vacuum rotary filter is followed by a slow, controlled fermentation.
This results in wonderful wines, reflecting the mineral soil from which they originate. The influence of the wine-grower on these wines is only very delicate and elegant, yet incisive.
